Thank you for visiting.
The
aim of this Site is to provide information about the South Devon
village of
Slapton for both visitors and
residents alike. |
|
Slapton lies midway
between Kingsbridge & Dartmouth and is
a half mile inland from the famous Slapton Sands.
Slapton Ley Nature Reserve
justifiably attracts visitors from all over the world, be it for
scientific, educational or recreational purposes. |
|
The village
manages
to combine being a thriving local community with
being an excellent choice
for a holiday. Slapton has two Public Houses, a General Store, a well
equipped village hall, a church & a Chapel, the Slapton Ley Field
Studies Centre and two local Campsites.

The sweeping hands of time
have had little effect on Slapton, as can be seen by these two pictures
taken 74 years apart; sadly, we have been
unable to trace the four
children who posed for the original picture. |
