Old Walls is a Grade II listed Georgian house
and comfortable family home in the attractive village of Slapton about half a mile from Slapton Ley and the beach. The house faces south overlooking
the village, surrounding fields and woods. At night the flashing light
of the Start point lighthouse can be seen. The two village pubs are nearby, where good food is served. The three guest
bedrooms are centrally heated, comfortably furnished, have television and tea and coffee making facilities.

Old Walls is near
Slapton Ley Field Centre and National Nature Reserve. It is an ideal place from which
to walk the beautiful coastal paths, birdwatch, fish or
simply relax on the local beaches. Plymouth is 20
miles away, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth are interesting local towns. Riding, sailing, windsurfing, golf and
tennis are all within easy reach, as are many gardens, houses, museums and other places of interest. Pike fishing is famous on Slapton
Ley.
The
South Hams has a mild climate; wild flowers in the lanes are wonderful in spring and many rare birds
cirl bunting and peregrine nest in the area. Serious
ornithologists will appreciate a spring orautumn visit.
